Branch Meeting). Starting at Maids Head, Wicken at 7.45
pm, moving on to Five Miles, Upware then stopping off
at Lazy Otter, Stretham returning to Ely by 11.00 pm. |

We will be leaving Ely
at 11.00, travelling to The Pig & Falcon in St Neots
spending a few hrs there (its in the middle of town
so there may be the opportunity to do some shopping!).
it’s a GK pub the landlord has managed to negotiate
a free range of beers as long as he stocks a couple
of GK. On my recent visit there were brews from Wolf,
Milton, Vale, Humpty Dumpty and a few others. It has
been awarded the Most Improved Pub by local CAMRA.
We will then move on to the nearby Chequers, at Little
Gransden, home of the Son of Sid brewery and Branch
Pub of the Year. If you haven’t managed a visit
to this gem of a pub now is your chance. I’m looking
forward to a visit when I haven’t got the car
with me!
Next stop the Black Horse in nearby Dry Drayton, it
had brews from old Cannon, Milton & Buntingford
on our visit and is quite a nice renovated old pub.
I then propose stopping off at the Lazy Otter on the
way back to Ely.
There are only 15 seats available and there has been
a lot of interest in this trip so make sure you reserve
your seat soon to avoid disappointment.
